Kitten sleep

The phases of sleep in kittens change during their growth. The time during which cats remain awake does not vary with age, but the amount of sleep REM (Rapid Eye Movement), a phenomenon that occurs during paradoxical sleep phase), characterized by muscular contractions and dreams, decreases to make room for sleep without dreams

The sleep cycles are much shorter in kittens than in adults.

16 hours of sleep a day

The cat sleeps about <16 hours a day: by living with us, he learns to sleep in a position... human. It is not uncommon to observe our kitten dream : it moves the legs or the lip and the tongue as if it sucks something.

As and when he grows up, the cat sleeps deeper and deeper, for short periods and without dreaming.
