How to practice BARF with your dog?
BARF mixed fleshy bone, mashed fruits and vegetables, offal, algae, brewer's yeast, oils... It gives the impression of cooking for his dog ultra-natural food and alive. The stages of preparation of a BARF meal are as follows:
1. Material : food processor for fruit and vegetable purees, good meat cutting scissors, chopper or camping ax for larger bones, boning knife, apron for protection.
2. Preparation of meat, bone and offal Example of cutting chicken (chunk or chopped). Example of a fish ration (once a week). Example of offal: hearts, livers and stomachs of chicken or kidney and heart of beef. You can also chop the meat into thin spaghetti.
3. Mashed fruits and vegetables (with robot). Choose seasonal fruits and vegetables that have been washed beforehand and sprinkled with a little vinegar. Examples: lettuce, broccoli, carrots, apple, pear and banana. Summer: peaches, plums, apricots, watermelon... Grapefruit and grapefruit should be avoided. And despite all my attempts, I have never managed to feed my dogs any orange or mandarin orange! For proportions, choose one half green leafy vegetables, one quarter other vegetables, one quarter fruit. Add parsley and garlic (one to two pods a week for a 25 kg dog). When the puree is ready, pour it into the compartments of a freezer ice cube tray. When serving the ration, you can add an egg, yoghurt or cottage cheese two or three times a week. Fish oil or a seaweed-based supplement may also be included.
4. Mix well with the other ingredients as some dogs initially refuse to eat separately.
