Do you really know where your pet comes from?
The company I-CAD, which manages the National Identification File of domestic carnivorous animals in France (dogs, cats and ferrets), under delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, has just published a computer graphics on pet imports.
32 984 : this is the number of animals (dogs, cats and ferrets) imported to France in 2016, according to I-CAD information. Dogs are significantly more imported than cats: 27,296 against 5,589. Each month, 1,529 dogs, cats and ferrets are imported on average, the dogs being much more numerous, which may seem paradoxical when we know that cats outnumber dogs on French territory
