Callie, the world's first female dog
Callie is the pretty name of a dog not quite like the others. This 3-year-old British Labrador puppy is the first dog in the world to get an aviation license!
A perfect co-pilot
Since her months, Callie has been flying alongside her master, Graham Mountford, an aviation enthusiast who has traveled with his best 4-legged friend some 80,000 kilometers aboard his small plane, a Cessna 210.
In total, the beautiful has spent more than 250 hours in the air
The dog is well attached to her seat with a harness and with her glasses and hearing protection, she has all the equipment of the perfect co-pilot!
Obviously, the duo does not go unnoticed. "I get a lot of comments and smiles when I land at an airport and people realize that my co-pilot is a dog" Graham Mountford fun.
Free to fly!
Her license, Callie received it on March 31 at an event organized by the Aircraft Owners Association and Pilots' Association (AOPA). The members of the organization, blown away by the flying bitch, decided to officially recognize her as such in offering her crew card .
Callie, who has the right to a sausage after each flight as a reward, will now be able to accompany his human in the air even more freely than before without any further problems in British airports.
The bitch loves everything especially take-offs and landings, especially when it arrives directly on the beach. But she tends to doze the rest of the time, says Graham Mountford.
