A freeway blocked to catch a dog in the wild

In California, in the United States, a whole highway was immobilized last Tuesday . And contrary to what you might think, it was not because of a car accident. No, the vehicles were stopped in their journey because of a small wandering dog running in the middle of the road.

"I saw cars getting on the down side and I thought there was an accident, "said a California Highway patrol officer. The latter then saw the dog run on the highway, in one direction and then in the other.

The traffic was interrupted and patrol officers then embarked on a chase with the animal to catch it. A hunt that lasted only 10 minutes, before the dog crossed a safety gate to reach another road, heading towards the city.

Total immobilization to prevent any accident

The vehicles were stopped to anticipate any accident that the presence of a dog on the highway could have caused, as much as to save the life of the animal than that of the drivers . Because a car trying to dodge it could have hit another and endanger the motorists. In addition, some travelers could have been imprudent and stopped their cars to pick up the dog on foot.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the chase. The little dog, very fast and having managed to escape the officers, subsequently disappeared from the traffic and no one knows what has become of him. Probably very scared, his race was able to take him very far from where he was seen on Tuesday.
